My wife contracted respiratory virus during or after travel. Her symptoms started to appear 4 days after landing in USA. She had acute viral pneumonia and bronchitis (critically ill) that required admission to the hospital. She is getting currently treated and progressing well and we are looking for discharge today or tomorrow. I would like to check how the policy covers my hospital expenses.
You have purchased the Patriot America Plus plan. For eligible expenses, after the deductible, this plan pays 100% to the policy maximum for new injuries or illnesses within the network. Outside the network, after the deductible, the plan will pay 80% to the first $5,000, then 100% to the policy maximum.
It is advised to call the number on the back of your Insurance ID card as soon as anything happens to insure that you follow the correct claims procedure.
