Question:

I have type 2 diabetes and high BP since the last 15 years. Both are under control with medication, exercise and diet control. Will this be treated as chronic condition?

Answer:

If something occurs that has to do with a pre-existing condition, the only way it could be covered under any plan on the market would be if it fell under the acute onset benefit. You can read more about the benefit here. At the time of the claim the claims department will review the attending physician notes and lab results to make the determination of if it is an eligible expense or not.
