My daughter is moving to France for the next year and a 3 month travel medical policy is required for her Visa. I am confused about pre-existing conditions. She does have a chronic illness for which she is on monthly medication. If she were to have a flare-up and require hospitalization in that three-month period would those charges be covered?

However, there is an additional plan that you may purchase call the Voyager Choice, which could allow for the coverage of pre-existing conditions as long as she were to have a primary plan in place within the United States. Additionally, it would be worth mentioning that for the insurance she is required to maintain for her long term stay in France, she would need to purchase for the full duration of her trip, rather than just the 90 days, to prevent visa rejection.
